Crush With Eyeliner
It’s snowing outside. A lot. But we don’t get out of class for it, so it doesn’t matter. Unless you are looking at the pure aesthetic aspect of the dilemma. Is it a dilemma? Nah not really. I’ll tell what IS a dilemma though. Not having money. Now I can’t buy useless stuff for my computer.
Enough of that crap. It’s time for a break from the norm. I bought this really cool Neon figurine from Electronics Boutique in the mall. Here it is:
I’ve started to work out with Nick (TrunX, the guy that doesn’t post anymore)lately. It feels good to get out there and actually do it. Hopefully I’ll start seeing some results. The first time we went I almost puked like eight times. It was because (I figured out later) we did the electric bikes after the workout session. We did 1.5 miles before, did the machines, then did 1 mile after on the bikes. That made me want to throw up. I figured out that if we do 1.5 miles before, work out, and then just leave, I am fine.
I took my acrylic case apart and put my computer back in the server tower I bought a while back. The acrylic (read: see-through) case I had was awesome as hell, but was very impractical. It would be good for a dedicated server, some computer that won’t be changed around for a while. I’m happy to be back with the big mother hoo-hah case.
Benjamin’s computer was messing up constantly. Resetting, freezing, closing Battlefield 1942 for no apparent reason. Finally, enough was enough. We tested the RAM. Turns out, that old stick of PC2700 was screwing up the entire computer. Now his computer is stable as a…..horse. And that’s a good thing!
It’s still snowing outside. Benjamin went home for the weekend, now he can’t come back up ’til tomorrow. Owned. My classes are ok so far. I have the following:
CIS-2990
Health and Fitness (how ironic, I’m working out now)
Accounting 2 (Managerial Accounting)
Economics 2 (Macro-Economics)
Intro to Theater
Math 1030 (Math with Business Applications)
The classes are gonna be a bit easier this semester, but not by much. I’m already confused in Accounting. I truly hate accounting. Only accounting majors should have to take those classes. They are so confusing and hard. My math class is online; I don’t think I’m gonna be able to scrounge up enough guts to actually DO the class by myself. If my first two exam scores are bad, I’m gonna drop it. Simple as that.
I think it’s time to shave. I can see my sideburns from my peripheral vision (no one believes me when I say that. But I truly can. Your eyes can see further to the side than you think). My heart was stuck on moving the room around to “change things up a little” up until I realized that our room is as good as it’s going to get. If I move it around, it will be redundant, and result in an inefficient use of resources and room. Ah well, you win some, you lose some. Speaking of losing some, I’m still losing some.
Jak II is a truly great game. Everyone should play Jak and Daxter, and then Jak II. It’s worth it. Amazing gameplay and plot make this one a true winner. Excellent graphics.
I finally started my Computer Lab job. I’m not kidding when I say this is the easiest job I have ever had, ever. I’m actually quite convinced I have the easiest job in the entire world. So far, I’ve had to answer the phone once, help out someone with their laptop, and a host of other things that happen about once every two hours. Truly a great job. I am blessed to get paid to do this. Truly awesome.
Now, more of a geeky thing: After seeing Lasereth’s computer run with 768 MB of RAM (now he has 512 because of that bad stick), it really does make a difference going from 512 to 768. Especially in games. I am still sporting 1 GB of PC2700. Boo-yah. By the way, here’s some pics of that bad stick of ram:
Very generic label. Very generic company. Probably why the stick was bad.
Now that’s a funny site. The wind blows ALL THE TIME up here, and it’s blowing right now (when it’s snowing). The snow is going horizontal. Looks like a blizzard. Speaking of Blizzard, let’s get with the program guys. I want some World of Warcraft. Ah, who am I kidding? It costs money per month. And tuition is due early this year! This place has got everything…
