Wal-Mart Sunday, September 29th, 2002
I bought The Rocketeer and Army of Darkness DVDs at Wal-Mart last night with Nick, Lynsay and Brandon. I watched The Rocketeer earlier today, and believe me, that movie still kicks ass. It’s definitely one of my favorites. The graphics are still decent too. On the other hand, the version of Army of Darkness I bought doesn’t have the good ending (by “good ending” I mean the totally unrealistic, funny as hell one-liner mania ending), contrary to Trunx’ beliefs. Dammit. Now I have the AOD DVD with the shit ending. I might take it back, but I doubt they will since it’s already opened. I might just keep it and buy the good ending DVD along with it. The problem is, I don’t know which damn DVD has the good ending. There are so many versions of that DVD on the market, it’s rather confusing. I am getting a new computer soon. The CPU only. I am not sure what I’m going to get, but it will have to be within the boundaries of my dwindling back account as well as enough to keep me ahead of the game for 4 years. Haha, nothing can keep you ahead of the game for 4 years nowadays. I just mean that I want something that will be respectable, and still run programs and other tasks four years from now. Who would have thought this shitbox Celeron 533 I’m running right now would have lasted almost 4 years? It’s lasted a good 3 1/2, and I can still run programs fine. That’s what I mean by 4 years. This is what I am planning on getting:
1.4 GHz or above processor
Motherboard that supports DDR RAM, can hold at least 3 RAM chips, has a freakin’ AGP slot, and around 5 or so PCI slots.
80 GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive
Sound Blaster Sound Card
GeForce 4 Ti4100 64 MB DDR RAM Video card
40X Cd Burner
Yeah, you maybe thinking I’m made of money, but first: I made a lot of money over the summer, so I have a little bit in the bank. Secondly, I can get all that (not including monitor, etc. becaues I already have that stuff) for around $500. Order all the parts off the internet, and boom, that’s all she wrote.
