believe in me, help me believe in anything
It finally rained, how fun. Except along with rain the vegitation, especially and most depressingly the grass, begins to grow like a wildfire in oregon. This means tomorrow I get to wake up early and mow the grass before it gets all hot and humid. Oh yes, and then work. Fun fun fun.
I have recently returned to the addicting plethora of deals and steals that is known as ebay. I bought a few items a couple years ago (a poster, some Dreamcast VMU batteries, and the Resident Evil games for PC and books), but it had been a long while since I had glanced at it any more than in passing boredom. Now recently, out of necissity and an intensely frugal desire, I have returned to get a couple things for college. The first is this lovely item, a 5 port 10/100 switch that I’ll need for my dorm room. Since I’m taking both my laptop and desktop, and I’ll only have one network port for me (and one for my roommate), then I need the switch to have them both hooked up. I could use my 5 port 10 Mbps hub, but I really don’t want that thing being such a huge bottleneck. The next item I got was this TI-89 Graphing Calculator, which should come in rather handy in Calculus class. Just for claification, I paid for the switch (and 100Mbps network card for my PC) and my dad paid for the calculator. But anyways, I have come to the conclusion that ebay is a very, very dangerous place to be lurking around (especially when you have a limited amount of money). You start convincing yourself that you can afford to spend money on this or that, especially since it’s such a good deal. Hey, you don’t want to pass that sort of thing up. Hey, I’ve always wanted this and here it is asking me to buy it. Etc, etc, etc.
Restraint is key.
